School uniform is compulsory and is something we are very proud of at Tuel Lane. We would prefer that children show pride in their school by wearing a jumper or cardigan with the school logo on, although this is not compulsory. Uniform with the school logo on is only available to be purchased via school. Uniform can be ordered from the School Office.
The uniform is as follows:
- Red or navy jumpers or cardigans
- White polo shirt
- Grey trousers or shorts
- Grey skirts
- Red or navy summer dresses
- Appropriate black school shoes
In winter we suggest a pair of wellies is kept under the child’s peg.
In summer we suggest a sun hat is left in school for play times.
PE kit is as follows, and must all be plain, unbranded items:
- White t shirt
- Black or navy shorts (leggings or jogging bottoms can be worn in winter months)
We also ask that children bring a school bag in which to put letters, reading books and homework. School book bags are actively promoted so that they match the uniform and these can be purchased from the School Office also.
Additional items such as fleece or waterproof coats can also be ordered from school.
Outdoor Playing and Learning
For children in EYFS, they will play out in all weathers, helping them to learn about the world around them. If required, school will provide all-in-one waterproofs and wellies to facilitate this engagement with the outdoors.

We have a fabulous range of good quality second hand-items available should families need any support in this area. Please call in and help yourselves to the items needed.
Jewellry
Small ear studs or earrings are acceptable only. No other jewellry should be worn.
